This is one of the most special necklaces I've created thus far! I adore how I've shrunk down a highly sought after vintage children's book published in 1948 to be worn as a necklace! I have not reproduced the entirety of its pages, rather I have printed all of my most favorite illustrations onto glossy, heavy stock. There are eighteen pages in all; *Princess Moonbeam* being my favorite! This makes a gorgeous gift for anyone who adores this vintage book!

Illustrations of the past are what I revel in and I am thrilled to turn a 1940s masterpiece into a charming, conversational piece!

The hardbound "Let's Pretend" mini book by Nila Mack, illustrated by Catherine Barnes, measures 2.5x2 inches (metric: 6.5x5cm). I have handmade its rosary chain with violet chalcedony beads and stainless steel wire. The chain measures 30 inches (metric: 76cm). If you are savvy about the healing properties of gemstones, you'll find more information below. Finally, the mini book may be tied closed gently with its satin ribbon.

*I chose stainless steel wire for the chain because it does not tarnish nor oxidize, enabling it to last longer than other metals. High quality stainless steel has high resistance to rust and corrosion which requires minimal maintenance. Stainless steel is one of the most bio-compatible metals, making it amazingly hypoallergenic because of its anti-allergic properties. Lastly, it is one of the strongest of all jewelry metals available.

*Chalcedony is a nurturing gemstone promoting brotherhood and goodwill. It will enhance telepathy and group stability. This stone absorbs negative energy, then dissipates it so that the energy doesn't transfer to someone else. Chalcedony brings the body, mind and spirit into alignment. It sends feelings of generosity and benevolence to you. It vanishes feelings of hostility and sadness as well as dispelling self doubt to increase self confidence.
